This one hour staff presentation teaches fire safety and prevention with Sparky’s Hazard House, an interactive replica of a home used to show various fire and safety hazards in the home. Concepts (which vary depending on age appropriateness) include: how to spot and fix fire hazards in the home, know the sound of a smoke detector, plan and practice a safe escape, crawl low under smoke, two ways out, and the importance of a safe meeting place. Following Sparky’s Hazard House, students will participate in a fun fire science activity, learn the dangers of false alarm 9-1-1 calls and how to cool a burn.
All presentations require a minimum audience of 25, with a maximum audience of 50 children per presentation.
$3.00 per child, $5.00 per adult, (1 chaperone free).
